October at Gadsden Arts

E-NEWS • OCTOBER 2024

Hurricane Helene

Dear Friends,

While we were very fortunate in regard to Hurricane Helene, friends and neighbors here and across the Southeast have suffered substantial losses. For anyone who has been adversely impacted by the storm, mention “Helene” this month at visitor services to enjoy Gadsden Arts as our guest. Please share with everyone who might benefit from an “art break.”

Regular hours and programs resume today!

FREE FAMILY SATURDAYS

New activities every month!

Every Saturday from 10am – 4:30pm you can create and explore as a family! October ArtZone art-making activities are inspired by autumn and our major exhibition, Aviary: International Quilting and Fiber Art. Families can make mini pumpkins, quilt designs, and watercolor peacocks! After making some art, explore our galleries with the Visual Scavenger Hunt, read together in our NHBW-Gadsden Reading Corner, and continue the fun at home with a free Art @ Home Kit and book.

Free Family Saturdays are funded in part by Art Bridges, and presented by Centennial Bank, in partnership with the National Hookup of Black Women – Gadsden, Art for Children sponsor Bell & Bates Home Center, and Art @ Home Kits sponsor TDS Telecom.
