Vision 2030

Investing in Gadsden Arts for Future Generations

At Gadsden Arts, we are always looking for ways to do more for our community, and planning for the future. In 2014, our Community Connections Project funded major renovations and a facility expansion that allowed us to grow programming across all areas. We exceeded our fundraising goal by 45%, significantly increasing Gadsden Arts’ programs, community impact, and earned income.

Vision 2030: the Art of Enduring Impact makes forward-thinking investments in our signature spaces and grows endowment. Gallery enhancements and state-of-the-art equipment will improve security, climate control, sound, and lighting—elements essential to visitor experience and the stewardship of historically significant art. These upgrades will elevate the quality of every visit, grow accessibility, and expand our ability to borrow collections for major exhibitions.

Vision 2030 also advances our strategic goal of building a $2 million endowment to further secure Gadsden Arts. Annual income from the Gadsden Arts Endowment Trust supports the care of our museum-quality facilities and stabilizes less predictable revenue streams, ensuring the continuity and impact of our programs.

Through Vision 2030, Gadsden Arts will continue to thrive—sparking discovery, fostering connection, and bringing people together for generations to come.

Vision 2030 Progress Report

Thanks to generous donors, we have made great progress toward realizing Vision 2030! This capital campaign began in 2025 to fund important facility upgrades and grow endowment. Vision 2030 ensures continued quality art museum experiences now and long into the future.

On your next visit, you will find no more echo in our first floor galleries, wonderful sound quality – music, announcements, or presentations – throughout the museum, lighting and aesthetic improvements. Behind the scenes, state-of-the-art HVAC improvements mean it is always exactly 68 degrees with stable humidity in our collections areas. Also during the past year our Gadsden Arts Endowment Trust, which supports program and facility needs, has grown from $1.4M to $1.85M of our $2M endowment goal. We are thrilled with this progress!

If you are seeking an exceptional way to invest in Gadsden Arts, consider Vision 2030 – at this writing, we are 78% to our $1M campaign goal!
