Golden Legacy OLLI Class
Presented by Carole D. Fiore, Tom Friedman, and Gadsden Arts staff. A three-session class, Tuesdays May 23, May 30, and June 6. Registration is required through FSU’s OLLI Program
The 1924 launch of Golden Books revolutionized the children’s book industry by making high-quality picture books available at affordable prices. The first session will focus on the development of the company into a publishing juggernaut. Session 2 will examine the lives and work of the illustrators from 1930 through the mid-1950s. The class will conclude with a guided tour of Gadsden Arts, including the current exhibit, The Golden Legacy, original artwork from many of the Golden Books.
Enrollment is limited to 20 participants, registration is required.
