Creative Futures Council

CFC Overview

The Creative Futures Council is a temporary, paid arts program that takes place during the school year from October through March. Designed for high school and early undergraduate students, participants earn $15 per hour while gaining hands-on experience in the arts.

If accepted into the program, students will explore career pathways, learn about museum operations, and help plan youth-focused programs and events. Participation includes Zoom meetings, museum workshops, and regional field trips, along with involvement in creating and supporting programs at Gadsden Arts Center & Museum.

The program concludes with a student art exhibition at Gadsden Arts, where participants showcase their work and share their creative journey during a Zoom presentation that is recorded and shared online. If you would like additional information, contact Kaiyla Thompson at (850) 627-5023.

The Creative Futures Council is made possible by our Art for Children & Youth Donors and sponsors Bell & Bates Ace Hardware and Sunnyside Farm Management Inc., and funded in part by a grant awarded by the Community Foundation of North Florida.
