New Additions to the Gadsden Arts Permanent Collection

On May 9, Museum Staff traveled to the Harn Museum in Gainesville, FL, to pick up four works of art by Hiram D. Williams. Williams was a celebrated painter and printmaker known for expressive, often introspective figurative work that explores a wide range of human emotions. In1994, Williams was inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame.

The newly accessioned pieces—Walking Man (1971), Man Gazing (1977), Agonized Man (1986), and Self Portrait (1966)—are exciting additions to our growing permanent collection. We are thrilled to share Williams’ work with our community.
