Exciting year ahead at Gadsden Arts – thanks to you!
Thanks to you, 2024 was a fantastic year for Gadsden Arts. We are a community art museum – an organization of people – and together, we shared world-class cultural experiences, including prints by Jacob Lawrence, and international fiber art through Aviary. We celebrated art by 350+ regional artists, brought meaningful experiences to nearly 6,000 Art for Children & Youth participants, and brought people together through 23 cultural events.
Together, we are looking forward to an exciting year in 2025! We will explore creative living through Two Weeks with the Arts in January and then experience Impressionism by American Women from the Huntsville Museum of Art, explore Florida Crackers, Cowboys, and Cow Hunters, celebrate our 37th Art in Gadsden Juried Exhibition, and take a deep dive into The American South through some of our country’s most highly celebrated photographers. We will again host a wonderful variety of cultural events, travel to Santa Fe & Taos, and continue to grow Art for Children & Youth programs, offered free of charge year-round, to ensure that these world class cultural experiences are enjoyed by everyone.
Thank you Gadsden Arts members, donors, and volunteers! You truly make everything we do possible. If you are not yet a member, please consider joining us.
Happy New Year to all!

Creative Futures Council
Creative Futures Council: Leftovers
Our Creative Futures Council youth have been hard at work, creating art for their January exhibition titled Leftovers. Their passion, creativity, and dedication in all aspects of our program this year are truly inspiring! For the exhibition, our students are creating original pieces inspired by the powerful works of Thornton Dial Sr. from our Permanent Collection, and Jack Whitten’s Lapsang, which was on loan from Art Bridges from June to December 2024.
The Jack Whitten community engagement project is generously supported by Art Bridges. The Creative Futures Council program is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
