A WEEK WITH THE ARTS AUCTION SUBMISSION

  • Artists who are current members of Gadsden Arts are invited to submit one piece of their best work for the auction
  • Choose ONE piece of artwork that you would like to place into the auction
  • Please select an original work of art, framed/ready to hang, and no larger than 36” in any direction
  • If the work sells, artists will receive 50% of the price the work sells for, with the other half to benefit the museum. Note: starting bids will be set at 60% of market value (Example: Market Value=$100. The starting bid would be $60 and if the art is sold for $60, then the Artist receives $30 and GACM receives $30) 
  • If you prefer to 100% donate your artwork, simply check the box at the end of the registration form
  • Every shopper who views the auction will have an opportunity to vote for People’s Choice Awards which will be announced online on January 27, with cash awards bestowed for Best in Show ($500), 1st Place ($250), 2nd Place ($150) and 3rd Place ($100)
  • The auction exhibition will be hosted at the museum for one full week, with competitive online bidding Tuesday–Saturday, and exclusive access for top ticket holders for the final hour of the auction.

  • Week with the Arts event pass holders will have the opportunity to view auction items installed in the 2nd Floor Bates Permanent Collection Gallery, and all guests to the museum that week will also be invited to participate!
  • Artwork can be dropped the week of December 14-17, 2021 or the week of January 11-14, 2022
