Cocktails & Collections

At the home of Lou & Calynne Hill

Thursday October 17, 6–8pm
Reservations: Members $50pp / Nonmembers $65pp

Join us for a fun evening of Cocktails & Collections! Enjoy art, refreshments and hors d'oeuvres with collectors Lou and Calynne Hill, who are graciously opening their home to share their amazing art collection with our community. To be added to our waiting list for event reservations, call 850.627.5020.

The Hills' recently renovated home is a beautiful work of architecture, a light filled oasis designed to fit into its surroundings, featuring natural materials, and set into a hillside overlooking Lake Jackson. These longtime art collectors have filled their home with art from around the world, but most specifically feature Southern Vernacular Artists such as Thornton Dial, Sr., Mr. Eddy Mumma, and Purvis Young. The Hills also display an impressive collection of archeological artifacts, most of which comes from the Apalachicola river in North Florida.

Proceeds from this event benefit the care and conservation of objects in the Gadsden Arts Permanent Collection.
