Recent Acquisitions

Listed below are works accessioned into the Gadsden Arts Center & Museum Permanent Collection at the end of 2018. The collection, comprised of 21 acrylic paintings by Edward "Mr. Eddy" Mumma and two wooden sculptures by Jesse Aaron, was gifted to the museum through the generosity of Josh Feldstein, an avid art collector from Gainesville, Florida, who is credited with saving many of Mr. Eddy's paintings from being discarded after the artist's passing. The Gadsden Arts Center & Museum will have an exhibition of this collection and more, borrowed from private collections, in the spring of 2020.
