Sherry A. Bailey "Neighbor Lily", watercolor
Sherry Bailey is a Tallahassee, Florida transparent watercolor artist whose art helps her overcome worry. Her technique of randomly mingling paint directly on the paper rather than mixing it on the palette forces her to become completely absorbed in what’s happening on the paper right now with excitement and anticipation about how it will look. Floral or vegetable still life or wildlife is the focus of her current watercolors.

Benita Ingram "Butterfly In Hand", Oil, 20 in. x 16 in.
I have been a Quincy resident since 1975, and have had a desire to be a photographer and artist since I was a teenager. I took photography classes at Lively form 2002-06 and now have a portrait studio in my home. In January of 2008 at age 50, I started oil painting. I paint every chance I get; I had never imagined how much pleasure it would give me to be able to paint, it is so relaxing and gives me much comfort and joy.

Janice "Ecinja" McCaskill "Clothing Line" acrylic on canvas 24 x 36
Janice Hall McCaskill (Ecinja) is based in Florida and is one of the premier new contemporary artist in the world. Using a mixed medium, vivid characters and powerful colors, she encourages the observer to dream and create their own stories from the paintings before them. As an alternative to the general title of artist, McCaskill prefers the term "colourist", which reflects her mystical command of the color spectrum in her works. www.ecinja.com

Robert DeWitt Smith "Virginia Creeper by Moonlight,"
Foremost, I wish each painting to provide me in some manner a fresh new experience that perhaps may also provide a few insights to others. An element within a representational piece may suggest an abstract design that I will work into a subsequent painting. This rarely happens in reverse, though occasionally I discover a representational side of an abstract work that was not consciously intended. www.rdewitt.net
