Improving the Quality of Life Through Art

Thanks to the generous support of members like you, Gadsden Arts brought the “magic of art” to 18,915 participants last year - sharing the beauty, intrigue, challenge, insight, understanding, emotion, depth of thought, and sense of achievement that art experiences offer. This overview of giving programs throughout the year is designed to help you select your favorite ways to bring art to people through Gadsden Arts. Thank you to all of you who have already renewed memberships or contributed through the 2017 Annual Fund, giving our programming a strong start for again this year!

If you have questions, would like to volunteer, or make a gift once this year to multiple giving programs, contact Grace Robinson (850) 627-5020, email, or stop by Gadsden Arts

Annual Giving

Tuition Scholarship Fund – Your $75 tuition scholarship contribution provides a week of Art Camp for a child. Children have fun, explore a variety of art mediums, and make new friends. For many of these children, our Art Camp and ArtReach Programs are their only access to art. Contributions received by May 31 provide camp for children in June and July. Send a check to the Gadsden Arts Center & Museum, 13 N. Madison St. Quincy, FL 32351, or give now by selecting below.

Membership – Membership offers benefits for you while underwriting 10% of annual program and operation costs. Benefits vary by membership level. Members at a $100 level or higher receive NARM/ROAM reciprocal membership benefits at over 800 museums in the U.S. and Canada. Your membership renewal is sent each year a few weeks before your membership anniversary date. LEARN MORE

Annual Fund – Your Annual Fund contribution underwrites 17% of annual program and operation costs and is 100% tax-deductible. The initial Annual Fund request is sent at the beginning of February and a year-end giving appeal is sent in early November. LEARN MORE

Art in Gadsden Patron Sponsors – This program was founded with the Art in Gadsden Exhibition, now in its 28th year! Your contribution underwrites the cost of artists’ awards. Awards support deserving artists and encourage quality artist applications to enter the exhibition. Patron Sponsors are invited to join Director’s Circle members at the special Art in Gadsden exhibition preview in October. Become a patron sponsor and learn more here.

Corporate Sponsorships – Your company can invest in improving quality of life in our community while introducing your company to our audience by sponsoring an exhibition, education program, or cultural event. Sponsorships range from $250 to $2,500 with a variety of recognition avenues and membership benefits offered for each sponsor level and program. Contact Grace Robinson for more information, (850) 627-5020.

Volunteer – You can meet new people, share your talents, and learn new things as a Gadsden Arts Center & Museum volunteer. Opportunities include data entry, visitor services, writing and editing, research, guiding tours, serving on a working committee, assisting with education programs, or planning and helping with a cultural event. We also offer internships for students interested in becoming museum professionals or art educators.

Long-Term Giving and Major Gifts

Capital Projects – Gadsden Arts takes pride in our historic, museum quality facilities. Regular maintenance is conducted, and improvements to facilities are planned to best meet our mission to serve our community. This year, Gadsden Arts is fundraising for our exciting Community Connections renovation and expansion project. (Call Grace Robinson at (850) 627-5020 to arrange your project tour!) Your contribution to a capital project can be restricted for a specific purpose and can be made in monthly or annual installments over time.

Gifts of Art – You can contribute gifts of art and enjoy a tax benefit. The Gadsden Arts Center & Museum Permanent Collection focuses on art from the Southeastern United States, with additional works of strong historical importance or relevance to our community considered. Proposed gifts of art are evaluated according to the mission and policies of the collection and must be approved by the Board of Directors. At your discretion, gifts of art that do not fit collection goals can be sold with proceeds applied to support a program area of your choice. Contact Curator Angie Barry at (850) 627-5021 for more information.

Endowment – The Gadsden Arts Endowment Trust, Inc. was established to provide support for programs and facility needs of Gadsden Arts, Inc. in perpetuity. The principal is protected and the portfolio is managed by a separate board of directors. You can make gifts of cash, appreciated stock, and planned gifts to the endowment to insure continued arts programming for generations to come. Contact Grace Robinson for more information, (850) 627-5020.

Annual Giving 2017

Improving the quality of life in our community through art.

The Gadsden Arts Center & Museum is entering its 23rd year as a community service organization. It is small in physical size and staff in comparison to many museums, but its buildings, programs, and staff rival the quality of those found anywhere. The source of the Gadsden Arts Center & Museum’s strength is that the organization is truly community-owned and community-driven. Widespread support carries Gadsden Arts forward and comes in the form of participation, membership, monetary contributions, corporate service contributions, volunteer time (2,722 hours last year), expertise, and talent.

Thank you to these generous donors whose investment in the Gadsden Arts Center & Museum's giving programs fuels the work of the organization to improve quality of life through art.
